NEW YORK, USA — Former U.S. President Bill Clinton will be joining comedian/actor Ben Stiller in a New York City gala to benefit The Stiller Foundation that’s building schools in Haiti.
Some pretty well known American artists have donated work for the chairity auction: Chuck Close , Paul McCarthy , Jasper Johns , Dan Flavin , Jeff Koons and Hiroshi Sugimoto.
Stiller partnered with New York art dealer David Zwirner for the event called "Artists for Haiti," and it is scheduled for Sept. 22 at Christie's auction house. The gala with Bill Clinton will be held the day after.
The cause is dear to Clinton’s heart. He launched the Clinton Foundation Haiti Fund and created the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund with former President George W. Bush in 2010.
Stiller created his foundation after the 2010 earthquake.
All proceeds will go to support nonprofit groups already working in Haiti.
