JACMEL, Haiti (defend.ht) - An uninvited and enraged Senator Edwin Zenny (Sud-Est/independent) appeared at a radio station in Jacmel on Saturday and spit in the face of a justice of peace and threatened to have the judge fired through his close relationship to the Presidency and the Supreme Council of the Judiciary; an incident that left the host and workers at the station in terror.
Judge Bob Simonis and former parliamentary candidate Lucien Pierre were speaking on-air on Bellevue International Radio's "Around the News" show. A criticism made by Simonis about Senator Zenny led to an uninvited and unexpected appearance by Zenny at the radio station.
Judge Simonis said as the exchanges were becoming heated people at the station began to fear for their security and cried out on the radio airwaves for anyone on the roadways to come and help temper the situation.
Ultimately, Senator Zenny would collect mucus sputum and spit it at the judge which inadvertently caught other guests at the radio station.
Senator Zenny who is a close ally of President Michel Martelly also threatened that through the close relationship of these individuals with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary Anel Joseph Alexis, that Judge Simonis would be fired.
This is the third incident of terror coming from the administration and persons close to it. Earlier in the week the Directorate General of Taxes publicly displayed names of businesses and persons allegedly in the arrears of paying taxes and prohibited travel to these individuals. Also, former Senator Joseph Lambert, an adviser to the president, spent the week hurling accusations of corruption at the President of the Lower House of Parliament.
Judge Simonis says he has photos of the spit on his face and expects to present it to the international community.Related 02.20.2012: Haiti: Senator Zenny Leaves the Inite Party, Claims to Hold Secrets
